MUSAN - the new Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa

We have just received a wonderful photo shoot of the newly-opened ocean attraction, the Ayia Napa Underwater Sculpture Museum (MUSAN), where divers will be able to tour an underwater forest, the first of its kind in the world, with 93 artworks by acclaimed British sculptor, Jason deCaires Taylor, all inspired by nature and mankind. The statues have been designed in such a way and with such materials so as to attract marine life and enrich the biodiversity of the area over time.

Jason deCaires Taylor has previously designed the first underwater sculpture park, the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park in Grenada, which was named one of the 25 Wonders of the World by National Geographic. He uses his knowledge and skills as a sculptor, marine conservationist, underwater photographer and scuba diving instructor to create unique works of art that complement the exhibition space while enhancing marine life.
