We have recently added to our collection of Dugong images with new photographs by our contributor, Andrey Nekrasov. Andrey has captured some great shots of these wonderful marine mammals, grazing on seagrass and sleeping under the water surface. Commonly known as 'sea cows' and threatened by habitat loss and fishing net entanglement, Dugongs help to maintain healthy seagrass meadows, which mitigate climate change by removing carbon from our oceans and atmosphere.
