New Giant Pacific Octopus Images
We have just added a super set of new images of the world's largest octopus species, the Giant Pacific Octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini) taken by our photographer, Andrey Nekrasov, in the Sea of Japan. The largest individual of this impressive species is recorded as weighing 71-kg (156-lb) when weighed live and these special cephalopods are known for their intelligence, having demonstrated the ability to solve simple puzzles, open childproof bottles and even use tools.
